Ingredients

  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet of yeast
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Method

To make homemade bread, start by mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy. In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture to the flour, stirring until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour. Once doubled in size, punch it down, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool before slicing.
