- Assorted vegetables (broccoli, carrots, bell peppers)

Method
To steam vegetables, start by washing and cutting them into uniform pieces. Fill a pot with about an inch of water and bring it to a boil. Place the vegetables in a steamer basket and set it over the boiling water. Cover the pot with a lid.
Steam the vegetables for about 5-10 minutes, depending on the type and size of the vegetables. They should be tender but still vibrant in color. Remove from heat and serve immediately, or toss them with a little olive oil and seasoning for added flavor.
